All performances are done as fund raisers to help the needy. The most recent performance was a fund raiser for those devastated by Katrina.

Assisting and fund raising for social causes are a key factor empahasized at the school. Students are constantly motivated to do their part in society. Our students enjoy dance and bring forth this enjoyment to other sections of the community.

February 10, 2007 - Ekal Vidyalaya Benefit Concert - Kalamandapam students performed at the University of Virginia, McLeod Hall on February 10, 2007. An enchanting evening of classical performance for the benefit of Ekal Vidhyalaya.

August 26, 2006: Umang Night at the Reston Community Center - An evening dedicated to Indian Classical Dance and Music on the occassion of India's Independence Day Celebrations and Fund Raising for Umang Charity Organization. Umang funds development of the underpriveleged in India. Students of Kalamandapam presented a series of Classical Brilliance to the delight of the Community. Each of the students were awarded a Certificate of Merit at the festivities.
